EURO 2016 travel thread
Anyone planning to go out France in the summer

What games and where are you staying?

Looking at doing a roadtrip to Lens for the Wales game. Staying in Bethune just north of Lens as hotels in Lens are ridiculous prices. Anyone else planning similar?

Re: EURO 2016 travel thread
Tickets through the FA should all be charged by the end of today, if that helps anyone.

whu&eng - if you happen to have any NI tickets, there's someone on the England forum looking to swap for England tickets. I presume it's the public part of the forum and that's he's NIish.

No mate I won them in the original ballot in July last year. It was a blind ballot, so I ended up winning 4 sets of tickets but didn't have a clue which teams they were for until December. I've ended up with:

Russia vs Slovakia (Lille)
Iceland vs Austria (Paris)
England vs Slovakia (St Etienne)
Croatia vs Spain (Bordeaux)

Luckily ended up with the England and Spain tickets, the other ones I'll try and sell on to the Icelandic Ultras!!!

Re: EURO 2016 travel thread
I've just checked UEFA website again and note that they will notify all applicants by "the end of February". Cunts. How long does it take to do this. Lottery closed ages ago... slow fuckers... that's the French for you.

Did you just get your tickets confirmed in the last couple of days then?

I've applied again after not getting any in last round and the email said they'd gradually take payment off cards over this week if successful with lottery in this round... but nothing yet :-(

Re: EURO 2016 travel thread
Buy a camper van, use it for all your transport as well as your accommodation - you can stay in lay-bys and service stations if campsites are full.

Then sell it when you get back, in England's case it will still be June when you get back.

If you buy a decent one you could well get your money back for it.
